Why teams choose Cobham for managed operations

How this works

Scoped before you sign.

Every engagement starts with a written brief that defines deliverables, duration, and a fixed price. No hourly billing. No vague statements of work. No surprise invoices when the scope runs over.

01

30-minute call

We map your current situation and tell you whether this engagement type fits the work in front of you. No obligation.

02

Written brief

A plain-language document: what we deliver, when, and at what fixed price. If the scope changes, we renegotiate before extra work begins.

03

Delivery & handoff

Runbooks, IaC, documentation, and full access credentials handed to your team at close. You own everything. No vendor lock.

Pricing

Flat rates. No markup. No surprises.

A

You own the cloud bill

Your cloud provider bills you directly at published prices. We never touch the invoice, never add a margin.

B

One flat rate

One number per engagement. The rate covers the full scope defined in the contract. No hourly overage.

C

30-day exit on retainers

Cancel any monthly retainer with 30 days written notice. Full handoff included at no extra cost.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

What counts as a P1 incident?
A P1 incident is any condition causing complete service unavailability, data loss, or security breach for a production system. P2 is significantly degraded performance or partial unavailability. We define the P1 and P2 criteria for your environment during onboarding.
Is the weekly architecture review included in the flat rate?
Yes. The weekly 30-minute call is included in the Managed Operations retainer with no per-call billing.
Can we add systems to the retainer scope after it starts?
Yes. Additional systems can be added to the monitoring scope with 2 weeks notice. We assess the new system during onboarding and adjust the retainer accordingly.
What is excluded from the retainer?
New feature development, migrations to new platforms, and major architecture changes are separate engagements. The retainer covers operating what exists at the scope agreed at signing.
